Drive Nice Day

May 21, 2009

City Challenge

A recent study from Virginia Tech Transportation Institute showed that 80% of all collisions and near-misses involved driver inattention in the
3 seconds just before things go wrong. Make the decision to be an attentive driver.

The Drive Nice Day Challenge

We don't want to just say "Drive Nice." We want to take action and inspire communities
to make it a priority to be great drivers who are Collision Free For Life. So how about a ittle friendly competition between cities? We're challenging motorists in Seattle and Tacoma to Drive Nice on May 21, 2009 and compete to win the Drive Nice Day Challenge.

There will be observation locations in each city. Teams of teens and adults will be observing and tracking nice driving and not-so-nice (also known as distracted) driving. Behaviors will be tallied and the city with the least not-so-nice incidents wins!

The winning city will win grant from the Allstate Foundation.
Do your part to help your city win!
